So those of you who frequent my Facebook page might know that I have a beagle puppy !
She's 8 months old now but as naughty as ever...
I USED to have a rather nice garden and then one day I noticed there were no plants in it anymore !
I have always wanted to have some flowers & try my hand at "gardening" - but with the fluffy daughter having bottany as her hobby I didnt think it would ever happen, I thought about a table garden & when I found this table sitting in the rain outside a vintage shop I fell in love & knew exactly what to do with it !
The owner of the table reluctanctly sold it to me & I went off to an "old stuff" shop to purchase a crate & an old bucket...
I bought my pots from BenBels, & painted them myseld, the handmade ceramic pot from a shop in Hermanus & the mug is from Vanilla Concrete..
All of my plants are from Benbels to ... I was so pleased to find they also sell SpekBoom -
(Spekboom has enormous carbon-storing capabilities. Its capacity to offset harmful carbon emissions is compared to that of moist, subtropical forest. This remarkable plant is unique in that it stores solar energy to photosynthesise at night. This makes spekboom thicket 10 times more effective per hectare at carbon fixing than any tropical rain forest. Each hectare of spekboom could capture 4,2 tons of carbon yearly. : http://www.spekboomfoundation.co.za/ )
So.. if you have dogs who have a fetish for flowers, ... dead soil/ sand in your garden.. or if perhaps space is an issue for you... why not try out a garden table, or even a garden shelf ! ?
